Company History
The Mcdougall group was formed 32 years ago
in 1967 in Larbert and moved to Grangemouth 18
years ago. We are a several trades construction
company with a property maintenance division.
We have 3 offices.
Head Office at Charlotte Dundas House
in Dalgrain Road.
Clydebank Business Park, Clydebank.
Wardpark Industrial Estate, Cumbernauld.
Clients
Our major clients are Falkirk Council,
Stirling Council, Clackmannan Council,
Scottish Homes and The Royal Bank of Scotland
and various housing associations. Over the last
30 years we have carried out dozens of contacts
with nearby local authorities ranging from new
housing, new factory units, window installations,
heating installations, renovations, valuing millions
of pounds. We usually have at least 3 new contracts
with local authorities at any time and currently
have just been awarded a contact in Duniplace
to provide new roofs and render systems to flatted
dwellings valued at £350,000. We currently have
a two year maintenance contract with Scottish
Homes covering their Falkirk portfolio of 500
houses. Following our success with this portfolio
we have negotiated a further 200 houses which
are in addition to the main contract. We also
have a current 2 year maintenance contract with
Knowes Housing association covering 1200 houses
in Faifley, Clydebank. In the private sector we
also have a contract with the national house builder
Miller Homes covering their portfolio of
2000 houses for both emergency and reactive maintenance.
Recently we have been awarded the Scottish
Homes Maintenance contract in Cumbernauld
which covers 2200 houses. We are currently investing
in a new bespoke software package to manage all
SOR reactive housing association maintenance contracts.
This will enable us to process works orders via
an electronic link and to manage existing and
future portfolios with optimum efficiency. The
company's aim is to expand in both capital and
maintenance works in a measured and planned manner
over the next 5 years and to rely mainly on the
local workforce to fuel this expansion. Within
this period, we aim to become a major player within
the field of maintenance provision for housing
associations working in partnership with them
to improve the overall management of their housing
stock.
